Supporting All Learners Using Instructional Technology, Graduate Certificate

Our new Supporting All Learners Using Instructional Technology Certificate Program is designed for K-12 teachers who are looking to advance their skills in pedagogy supported with instructional technology for the classroom. This program will support teachers in setting up a Universally Designed classroom that meets the needs of diversity, equity, and inclusion while promoting computational thinking skills necessary for the students of today. Participants will employ EdTech frameworks as a means to select applications and devices that provide active learning environments.

Admissions Requirements

All applicants who wish to enroll in the Supporting All Learners Using Instructional Technology Certificate Program will follow the standardized procedure for completing the graduate school application forms required for admission to all graduate certificate programs. A bachelor's degree is required for admission to the program.

  •  An undergraduate degree
  • Resume
  • One appropriate letter of recommendation
  • Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate course work

*Rolling admission for fall, spring and summer enrollment. Applications should be complete to allow adequate time for processing before the start of the semester (usually six weeks prior to the beginning of classes). 

Students must complete the following courses:


INST 509 - Foundations of Instructional Technology
INST 522 - Instructional Design
INST 523 - Online Teaching and Learning Environments
INST 529 - Assistive Technology


Students are required to choose one of the following:
INST 525 -
Emerging Technologies and Learning Environments
INST 530 – Coding and Robotics Across the Curriculum

 

Certificate Courses - 15 credits
